Scituate Art Festival at last!

Ever since we were dating, I told Bobby about 2 major events in our part of RI; Foster Old Home Days and the Scituate Art Festival. Well we've been to a few FOHDs, but never got the chance to go to Scituate Art Festival since it's always during Columbus Day weekend and we were either too broke to go or not enough vacation days. Well WE WENT THIS YEAR FINALLY, YAY! Not that either of these events are exciting, it's just tradition to go I suppose. We got to our hotel late at night, exhausted and ready to get out of the car.

(she was especially happy to be out of the car!)

The next day we went to Toys R Us to buy Bianca her birthday present, a purple dog that can say her name and signs songs and such. Then we went to get my mom and head over to Nana's house. Elaine met us over there and we all went out to dinner at Chester's together, which was nice. It's always nice to be able to spend time with family. After dinner we went back to our hotel and Elaine took everyone home.

The next day we met up with Manda and her kids to play at the Paine School playground! It was cute because Bianca and Christopher are pretty close in age. It was very nice catching up with Manda again.

We played for a while (yes WE, meaning Destiny had me running all around the playground) and then decided to get some pizza at Pizza King, YUM! I love their pizza! If only Bianca had enough teeth to eat some. After that we headed over to my mom's house to get her to take her on our adventure to New Haven, CT. We were going to see Hanson there that night, YAY! We drove to this famous burger place first I heard about on the Food Network and I waited like 30 mins for a stupid cheeseburger...but it was AMAZING! Thanks, Food Network! We drove through Yale's campus (beautiful!) and found our hotel. We got settled down and ordered some food for my mom and Bobby.

After eating the mister and I went on our date night to see Hanson play! We got there right in time. I think we missed like one song, but it was fine. I was so excited when we walked in because they were playing "If Only" (the concept of these concerts was that fans voted online for which album they wanted to hear and they played that ENTIRE album). Well "If Only" is on the "This Time Around" album, which is our favorite, so we got excited. But no, the album of the night was "Middle of Nowhere." Oh well. They played other songs as well so I wasn't that sad. It was a lot of fun actually. The club was small so anywhere you stood was a good spot (because the heck if I'm waiting in line for hours anymore. We're over that). I got a cute shirt there too.

After the show we passed a fro yo shop that looked tasty so we popped in and got some (since the concert ended way before we thought it would). It was worth it. We drove back to the hotel and didn't hear crying at the door, so we figured Bianca was fine. I guess she was...for a while. Until she noticed we were gone. Then she cried. My poor mom lol. She just read books, sang songs to her, and rubbed her back until she fell asleep, poor girl. She was doing her little whimper in her sleep. That's how we knew they didn't have a fun time, haha. But it was all good in the end :)

The next morning we ate breakfast and went back to RI. We dropped my mom off and then we headed off to meet Erica and Nick at the Scituate Art Festival, yay!

So today was exceptionally hot! It's never this hot in October in RI, I'm usually freezing at the Art Festival, but of course not this year. Yuck. Anyway, we met Erica and Nick at the fire station and walked around for a bit with Erica. Nick had to stay there because they just got a new puppy!!! Aww! His name is Brady and Bianca absolutely LOVED him! We walked around, I got some clam cakes, got some Dels, and then Bianca was super hot and cranky. Then we went in the place that we used to go to Rainbow at. Apparently now it's a jewelry/craft store. It was funny walking in there because it was so familiar, but so different...except for the upstairs. They didn't change much up there which was very weird to see, but it was fun. I'm glad we at least got to see them for a little bit before we left RI.

After that we just went back to Coventry to our hotel to hang out. That night we went to Cracker Barrel to get some yummy desserts (Pumpkin custard?? Yes please!). We left the next morning after stopping by Nana's to pick up our pictures we left (and some yummy treats to eat on the road). Then we said goodbye to my mom and Punky good kitty. Bobby was feeling sick so we didn't stay long at all. :( But RI was good to us this time.
