1 Month- Cameron! (Plus a story)

HAPPY 1 MONTH BIRTHDAY, CAMERON PRESTON!!!

We love you so much little boy! How can you be 1 month already?? Well, you love to eat, and do it often. You have the cutest little skinny legs. You're great at scratching your face, but also at kicking your toys. You love to play on your mat and listen to your star. You hate changing clothes (but who doesn't?). You love mommy and daddy, and especially sissy. You're starting to not hate tummy time and can tolerate it for at least 10 minutes (a big feat for you!) You can sleep in your crib for up to 3 hour stretches. We love having you in our family. <3

So, Bobby went to Wilmington with his dad on Cam's birthday, but the night before we all drove to the airport and stayed at a hotel there, since the weather might be crappy out that morning (it wasn't though). It was nice to all be together and for me to have his help with Cam for one more night. Both kids had fun at least though!

In the morning, Bobby caught his shuttle, and the kids and I stayed until check out time. We ordered some room service so we could eat, and then we traveled home.

Our weekend ended up being pretty normal. We hung out, Cameron ate and didn't sleep, the usual. He was even crankier than usual though, it was as though he missed his daddy (which I'm sure he did!) Of course I spill water from the filter everywhere at bed time so we all were super cranky, that wasn't fun. And Cameron decided to switch to 1 hour sleep blocks, OF COURSE! But, it's all good. The best part of the weekend was when we did our monthly photo shoot and it turned out super cute!

Here is what Bobby did in Wilmington:

"Most of the time was spent looking for a place to live. I looked at about 10 or so different complexes before I settled on Mill Creek. Mill Creek wasn't exactly my favorite, but I loved the size of the apartments there, and I also liked how close it was to church and campus.

My dad and I also took some time to explore what would eventually become our new home. We ate at a few places that sounded good, and we visited some of the local beaches.

I sure did miss my family though, especially my newborn pal! I hated leaving them for a few days, but we didn't know what else to do in the way of jobs at the time."

Then the next day I took Cameron for his first walk in the stroller (only to the office to fax something, but still, it was an adventure)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGAIN, CAMERON PRESTON! WE LOVE YOU!!!

Squishy Snow, Valentine's Day, and Birthdays, Oh My!!

I can't believe Cameron is going to be one month old soon! He's doing well, getting into a sort of okay sleeping schedule, 2-3 hours, not bad at all! We've tried putting him in his swing, since he's a little bit older now, and he likes it alright. Sleeping in Mommy's arms is better though. :)

I decided to take Bianca out for some mommy and daughter time, since I have to spend so much of my time tending to our boy. I just took her to McDonald's because we needed something FAST! We went to one with a playplace, but she didn't seem too into it. She liked the bottom area, but did not want to climb up into it, silly girl! It was nice to get out though!!

It snowed. Again. Boo. We took Bianca outside because she loves it and had a blast stepping on the squishy snow.

Here's some random shots (including Cam's cute milk induced coma smile)

Valentine's Day is Cameron's first holiday, aw! It was a crazy day though. I tried dressing them all up cute, and before outfits were ruined, I at least got a couple of nice shots. Also, this was my first time trusting Bianca to hold Cam!

Yep. This is how our day went.
We can't go out with a 3 week old, so we ordered some pizza. Papa John's did a heart shaped pizza, so of course we went with that. Downside? So did everyone else in the world. They were like 30 minutes LATE! And we were starving, grr. I did manage to make a yummy tres leches cake though, mmm! Happy Valentine's Day indeed!

                                                          My beautiful flowers!!!
For my birthday, Bobby convinced his mom to drive up and help us out so we could go out to eat (steak of course haha). He got her that Friday and we had a nice weekend! We got out (sure, it was us just getting food, but still, I love getting out and about). We also took Bianca out with us by ourselves, giving her some good attention she needs. We just went to Abuelos, but it was yummy! Bianca had fun, and Cameron slept in for my birthday!!! Hooray! Bobby's mom stayed up with him and I got 6 hours of sleep in a row. WHAT?!?!?! On my birthday, we got steak (that ended up making me sick, grr!), and ate yummy cake. It was BEAUTIFUL out on my birthday, so we played outside with Bianca a bit. Overall, a great birthday weekend!!!

Here's some cute pics from the past week! Nothing too exciting happening this week, same old. Bobby goes to check out Wilmington, NC on Cam's birthday (lucky, and grr, hehe), so we may have some news coming up...stay tuned!

Isn't that the cutest pouty face???
