Random End of Summer Road Trip

These have been quite the interesting couple of weeks! It started off with a road trip to Oklahoma...with me, Lil B, and Bobby's grandparents! Bobby had to finish up his last 2 days of work, so he flew out there on Friday night, but we started our road trip on Wednesday! They came and picked us up around 10AM. Luckily we were all ready to go, since we woke up early to say bye bye to daddy. :( I drove most of the way that day (that's why we were coming with them, to help them drive), except for when Bianca decided to be Miss Cranky Pants and I had to be back there with her. I love his grandparents, they had a lot of interesting stories and we had a grand old time. We ate lunch and dinner (well desert for dinner anyways haha) at Cracker Barrel, yum. They thought it was funny that I only gave Bianca 2 cheerios at a time, since she spills them all if I give her more. We stopped somewhere in Arkansas that night.

The next day we were up bright and early and drove to Moore OK to see Bobby's cousin Joyce! She was nice enough to let us stay there that night, which was great. We just hung out all day, got Braums (YAY!), and relaxed. Her daughter, Davan, and her kids came over and it was fun. We can't wait to see Daddy tomorrow though!!!

On Friday we headed to Clinton, where his Grandpa's school reunion takes place. We drove around and saw the oil wells they have and saw the site where his old school, Foss High School, used to be. It was SO hot though my goodness! Bianca HATED it! Guess she is a NY baby.

After those adventures, we went to the hotel and we took a bath/shower and waited until it was time to pick Daddy up from the OKC airport, yay! Bobby's aunt Wanda gave his grandparents some DVDs for Bianca, and I swear this one that had a bunch of ABC songs really saved our drive to OKC. It was the only way she'd be quiet and eventually fall asleep, silly girl. It was exciting to see daddy (finally!) and then we just headed back to the hotel and slept!

On Saturday Bobby's grandparents took us all again to see the oil wells and the old Foss school again, in case anyone from the reunion would be there. Bobby's parents also came up that morning (before we woke up, naturally lol). All of us (grandparents, us 3, Bobby's parents, Joyce, and her friend) piled into the car and went to see those sites, even though I SWEAR it was even hotter out!

(ROUTE 66!)

(It's raining somewhere in Oklahoma...)

That afternoon/evening was the reunion dinner. Bobby, Bianca, his mom, and I didn't go since it was kind of expensive, so we went on our own adventure. We went to Norman to see some things and to reminisce. We ate some yummy Panera bread (STRAWBERRY SALAD, HELL YEAH!) and got some of our FAVE frozen custard, yum yum! So we had a fun evening too :) That evening when we got back to the hotel, Davan and her kids were there along with everyone that went to the reunion. So we hung out with them for a bit until everyone decided it was time to go to bed.

On Sunday, his grandparents went to do their own thing and we went to boring old Altus with his parents to hang out. It was SOO hot out that day that we didn't venture out much, except to eat, go to Wal-Mart, and at night Bobby and I went on a date to see a movie (which was really nice!). Bianca enjoyed hanging out with gramma and grandpa.

(She's under there, I swear!)

The next day we were still there and we just ate, hung out, and went shopping. His sister and family came to visit, which was fun! She even got Bianca the cutest little onesie! Bobby's grandparents came into Altus that day and we packed up the SUV ready to head out bright and early the next morning!

We seriously left at like 4AM the next morning, wow! Here's proof

So we just drove and drove and made it to a little bit past Nashville, which was awesome timing! It was nice to have Bobby there to switch off driving so his grandparents wouldn't have to drive at all. But yeah, that's about it, didn't do much except drive!

We got to the Knoxville airport the next day (where our car was), and we got in our car and followed his grandparents down to Georgia! We were going to visit with them for a couple of days, which was nice. Man, the ATL is INSANE! And Bobby's grandfather drove crazy in it too! We just trusted in our GPS and went at our own speed at that point, ha ha!

We relaxed a bit when we got there, and then his Aunt Wanda and her granddaughter Riley came over to see us! Riley was excited to see Bianca again. I swear I'm a magnet for kids because I spent that whole time just hanging out with Riley and Bianca on the bed watching cartoons, haha. But I didn't want Bianca on the high bed with no adult there, and Riley wanted to play with Bianca AND watch tv, so yeah. Eventually I led them away and out into the living room to play/converse.  They had fun playing together though, which was nice.  We also took a ride on this golf car type thing his grandpa has and checked out their property, which is BEAUTIFUL! He has a cool work space/shed/workshop thing. Then we rode up to see their neighbors because their kid caught a really big fish? That's a big deal in rural GA I suppose haha! They even have a man made pond there, which is so pretty! Very nice indeed.

The next day we just hung out at home and went out and got some breakfast. Like I said, their home is beautiful. There's deer they feed every morning that come up in the lawn, and his grandmother has hummingbird feeders all over, so we saw a bunch of those. Super pretty!!!

That afternoon we went to look at all of the properties grandpa helped to build that he named after people in the family. That was fun to see!

We ate at the Old Country Buffet and just hung out the rest of the night, enjoying each other's company.

The next morning we went to Wal-Mart to get some things to cook on the grill! Then we just relaxed and watched Bianca play and such.

Then they told ME to go cook some burgers on the grill. ME!! Gah! I have never done that before, I didn't know what the heck I was doing. Bobby's grandpa helped me out, but they were laughing at me haha. It was an adventure. That evening we went to Wal-Mart ourselves and got them a picture frame and some pictures from our trip to put up in their home, since they didn't have any pictures of Bianca.

We had so much fun in GA, and can't wait to visit again! Now a new post because the whirlwind crazy times don't stop here folks...
