Millions of Beaches, Beaches For Me...

NC is a pretty neat state, well coastal NC anyways. We've been continuing our explorations of the area with a ride on the Southport Ferry! I had heard about Southport recently when I booked my first extra gig!!! I was on the set of the movie, Tammy. I was a lake go-er. Basically, I just hung out with these two other girls they put me with and we pretended to walk to our spot, "talking", and got paid to sit out and tan on the lake all day while they shot the movie. It was a very awesome experience. The coolest part was when the lead actress, Melissa McCarthy, heard that one of the extras, a mom, was being mean to her kid on set. She ordered her to leave right away! Go Melissa! We got to be on set for 2 days, which was hard on me and Cameron. I had to run away and pump at every break (breastfeeding + being an extra does NOT equal fun), but it all worked out. But I did get a good paycheck out of it! You get 8/hr for the first 8 hours, and then time and a half after that!! And time and a half was earned both days. I could get used to doing stuff like this. Even if it's not real acting, it's so awesome to be on a real movie set and see how Hollywood really works. :)

Back to Southport! We got up early and drove to the ferry. It was really cool. We drove on and got out and sat inside, while we took turns walking around outside! Bianca's tongue came with us as well (which caused lots of giggling from others).

We ate at a local diner for lunch and drove to the beach! It was nice. Cam's getting a little bit more used to the beach, as long as he has some milk to drink and he can be held (if he's awake).

We were thankful for a successful beach day! We just drove back home from Southport so we wouldn't have to stick to any kind of schedule. It was a nice drive back, but the ferry was fun too! That night I think our kids had the case of the sillies...just observe.

The next day, we hit up the Poplar Grove Farmer's Market, which was neat. We didn't get much, since farmer's markets usually have more in the fall, but Bobby did find some salsa he wanted to try! Then we drove around and decided to go to Oak Island for our beach time today. We weren't going to go to a beach, but we figured why not. Bianca's bathing suit was a bit big for her, which of course caused some tears, and Cam only had on a onesie, but It was still nice! Another nice beach day: CHECK! A girl could get used to all this ;)

I shall end this post with another funny movie and some adorable pics of our little ones. We are truly blessed indeed. :-D

Following the Dog Whle Celebrating Half Birthdays at Beaches!

Well this summer is definitely the summer of the beach for the Erikobby clan! We've been having tons of fun times this summer while waiting patiently on Bobby's job. Before I get into our most exciting weekend, here is our actress Bianca performing a song just for YOU!

Onto our exciting news, I saw online that some casting company was looking for extras (boo unpaid, but they promised to use us at the top of their list for paid gigs later on) for a Christian movie being filmed on Carolina beach. We didn't have definite plans for that Saturday, so we decided to go. We figured Cam was too young to be sitting out in the sun all day for this (even though another couple brought their 4 month old, but eh), so I just took Miss Bianca with me. She's my acting buddy now. Everyone ate her up, our silly little ham. When everyone would be looking at her, she'd sing or dance or start reciting some show she has memorized (she has quite the repertoire now haha). We met a lot fo nice people though, including some nice ladies with older kids, a couple with another kid around Bianca's age, and a girl with a cute dog (who made Bianca a cute "headband" out of flowers). It was kind of a lonnnggg day, but they gave us Popsicles, Bianca's first. She didn't quite know what to do with it, but she enjoyed it. They finally rounded us up, and placed us where they wanted us. We were crossing the road following the dog. I decided to hold Bianca because I knew she was getting sleepy without a nap all day, and we did great! She was excited to "follow the dog!" After that, we took some pics, called up daddy and hungry Cameron (sorry, bud!), and they eventually found us (of course there was a festival going on, so it took FOREVER to find them).

On the 19th, it was this little princess's half birthday, she's 2 1/2!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took some pics of her after church. This is how silly she is. <3 We love her so much!!!

We've decided that if we just want to go to a beach, Kure is our favorite. We even have a spot now, right under the pier. It'd never that crowded and usually pretty nice. Plus there's a good diner right there! Have I mentioned yet that we love living here?? Here are pics from our last beach fun day.

She loves the Princess backpack Gram gave her in RI!

I also got selected to be in Under The Dome as an extra on the 23rd! Me and my car, which meant more $$$ since they were using my car, SCORE! The call time was at 11:30PM though...AHH! Bad for me and sleep, but good for Cameron because that meant he wouldn't be starving for food since he sleeps (mostly) all night. I had a bottle ready in case he needed it, so the night went on for him as usual, which is good. I got there and they had some leftover food for us, yay! We just kinda sat around for a long while, ate, read magazines, and the PA read to us the script and what we'd be doing. It was chilly that night, but we had to act like it was warm haha. We basically had to react to the character Big Jim coming in and accusing someone of doing something wrong. It was pretty fun, although it was super cold. It was fun when they lit the truck on fire. I can't wait to see the episode because when we all circled Big Jim, I was right in front! We didn't get home until like 5:30, but it was worth it. I was FREEZING getting into bed, but I got a little bit of sleep until boy woke me up to eat some nummahs. The joys of babies, hehe.

****EDITED TO ADD A YEAR LATER***
Well the stinking scene ended up getting cut. I want to see if it's on the DVD set, which we'll probably get someday.

4 Months- Cameron!

HAPPY 4 MONTHS, BUDDY!!!

I can't believe you are 4 months, buddy!!! You have been a blessing thus far in the sleep department. You've been averaging about 7-9.5 hours of sleep a night, and that's great for me! You do call on me for some 3AM milk calls some nights, but overall, you like your crib and like to sleep, as all good boys should. We've been taking you out a lot more now, but you sleep through most things, such as trips to the beach and your first aquarium visit at the NC Aquarium Fort Fisher. You visited your family in RI for the first time, and they loved you. You still love to be held by anyone, which is so sweet of you. Swimming makes you super happy, but you're still getting used to sandy beaches. You're ALMOST rolling over, haven't quite gotten the oomph to go all the way over yet, but you grab onto your toes and let gravity take you to one side! We're so thankful for you boy! Here's your photo shoot pics (plus one of Princess Bianca because she wanted to be in it too lol)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUDDY!!! WE LOVE YOU!

NC Aquarium and Fort Fisher!

Today we went to the NC Aquarium and looked around the Fort Fisher area! It was a pretty neat aquarium, Bianca enjoyed looking at all the different kinds of fish and sea creatures. Cameron missed it all, of course, by sleeping the entire time. Not that that's a bad thing, he could have been cranky. Always asleep baby > cranky baby. We got to see a little show where they fed the fish, which was pretty cool. When we were all done inside, there's a little playground outside Bianca got to play in. That's about when Cameron woke up (probably because it was really hot out today!), so we didn't stay long outside, but it was still worth it. Hopefully we can go again sometime, just maybe on one of the days where it's free for New Hanover county residents ;)

They had some neat statue around the Ft. Fisher area (where the aquarium was), so we figured we'd check it out since we were all the way down here.

I love days like today where we all have fun going out and enjoying each others company.
