Erikobby's World: Party Planning Season is IN!

Well we have been super busy lately! We signed Cam and Micah up for this play group thing the Sooner Start people said would be fun. It's called Parents as Teachers. We go to the Early Childcare center every Tuesday from 9:30-10:45. The boys love it! Cameron likes to run and have fun and Micah is content sitting and playing with new toys. Then once a month, someone comes to your house and teaches you stuff to do with your kids. Really, it's more for first time moms, because I know everything she's telling me, lol. But it's nice and gets us out, so I can't complain. They had an open house thing with animals earlier in the month that I took the kids to. They had fun!

We're doing a Very Hungry Caterpillar themed party for Micah this year!!! Instead of present for him, since we have a ton of baby toys and he really doesn't care at 1 year old about much, we decided to give everyone we invited a sheet of paper. They can decorate it with birthday wishes or anything they want to tell Micah. Then I'm going to put it in a binder that he can always have. I thought it was a cute idea!! Here's the invites!!!

Earlier this month we had playgroup at the splash pad for the last time beofre they're turned off for the year. The kids had a blast!!

On labor day, we decided to take the kids to the same splash pad we went to at playgroup, but it was closed! Boo! So we drove all the way to the Glenpool one for them to play in. When we eventually got there, they had a blast!

Yep, we're in THAT stage. The stage of emptying all toys on the floor and making huge messes and then smiling afterwards. ;)

For TFA, Bobby has to go to one community event this semester. It's usually something boring on a Saturday, taking time away from us. They added an extra event to go to this year which was in the middle of the week, and we could go with him!!! YEESSS! We met up for dinner at Tally's near-ish to his school. When we got there he had some super exciting news!!! He was promoted to team leader not JUST for 5th grade, but for 5th AND 6th grade. Now this is a big deal. Normally, you have to work there for 3 years to be team leader. He's only been there 1. And he didn't even nominate himself because of that fact. But others did and Blakney got some paperwork signed, so BOOM, he is now a team leader!!! This doesn't bring that much extra work, just a few meetings and helping everyone and such, which he does already. But it does bring a pay raise, woohoo!! So proud of you, baby!!!!!!!!

Anyways, after dinner, we went to the Hispanic festival thing. It was small, but cute. Bianca got her face painted and then she danced to some music. We ate some chips and salsa and then left after being there like less than an hour, haha. Pretty sweet. Now he has that credit and it did not take away from family time.
