BOOMER SOONER and CHICK-A-SHAY

We've been trying to do fun Oklahoma-y things every weekend since once Cameron comes, we won't have much time for anything really! Before I get into our adventures, enjoy this cute pic of Bianca. She tried so hard to stay awake to see my visiting teachers, but alas, she just passed out. :)

Our adventures start when the weather decided to be great! We drove up to Bobby's old Alma mater, OU, in Norman to walk around campus and enjoy the great day! Since our old restaurants we used to frequent are no longer around (RIP Marie Calendars), we just went to Johnny Carinos. Then we walked around campus. Bianca made friends with some squirrels, which was cute. She loved the freedom of just exploring and walking around. It was nice!

Then we went to feed the ducks! We didn't bring any bread, since this was just a random thing we thought to do, but the crackers worked just as well. I was scared that the geese were gonna knock poor Lil B over. They were aggressive, but thankfully not too mean.

We had our church Christmas dinner/party, which was nice. I made gingerbread cupcakes with candy cane bfrosting, yum!

We tried to wait for the nicest night possible, and although it wasn't perfect weather (hey, it IS December), we went to Chickasha to go see the Festival of Lights. We went there when we were dating and I remember it being fabulous! Bianca was starting to get a little bit sick, but we went anyways. It was fun, but not as cool as I remembered. Bianca got to see some animals and we walked through the place a little bit, but then we just drove around because little girl was just not feeling well. :( It was beautiful thought and we're glad we got to go!

Lots To Be Thankful For!

Well we certainly have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! First of all, that our Cameron is OK! A while back I got a call from my doctor's office saying that something might be wrong with his heart...yeah that's all I heard when I stopped thinking/listening. WHAT?!?!?! Of course Bianca was sleeping and Bobby was at work so I just did not know what to do! But fast forward a bit, they just saw some white spots on his heart, called an EIF, and most of the time, it's nothing. And it could be a sign of down syndrome. BUT IT IS NOTHING!!! So so so thankful <3

We had one last ultrasound before we drove to Altus for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful. Cameron is so silly. They switched it to 3D for a couple of minutes (just for us, how nice!) and he was chomping on the umbilical cord and licking my placenta. Ew! But it was cute to see. I can't believe he'll be here in (hopefully less than) two months!!! When we got to Altus, Bobby and I got whatever food we needed to I could cook dinner (I love traditional Thanksgiving Day food and I refuse to eat anything else on that day, haha). We had to drive to a couple of stores, but we got the stuff.

In the morning I started cooking. Bobby's mom had some meat and I made stuffing (boxed...I know I know, but I like the boxed crap), death potatoes, put out the cranberry sauce, and started making my pumpkin pie. So we had a yummy feast indeed!

It was sooo nice out that we decided to all take Bianca to the park to run around. I packed a cute thanksgiving dress with long sleeves, but the pictures below will demonstrate how wonderful it was outside that day!

Then we decided to go feed the ducks...but it was freezing by the lake, go figure. So we didn't spend a lot of time out there, but it was still fun. She's obsessed with feeding those ducks.

We got home in time for church on Sunday and then we put up the Christmas tree! I love this time of the year, minus the cold weather of course. ;) Bianca had so much fun decorating and listening to Christmas Music (Snowed In of course haha).

After the tree was up and decorated, I made our traditional hot cocoa and Bobby decorated the rest of the apartment with the extra lights we have. Isn't it cool??

Oh TWO-dles: Bianca turns TWO!!!

...how is she two already??? Crazy! Since her birthday was on Monday, we had her birthday party on the 17th. It was a Mickey Mouse party, yay! I spent (too much) a lot of time on it and it was fabulous. Bobby's mom wanted to come so we drove all the way to Lawton the night before, ate dinner at Olive Garden, and drove all the way back here. Exhausting!

Speaking of exhausting, the next morning was even crazier! I had to cook the hot dogs, decorate, frost AND decorate the cake, blow up balloons, and make the guac. AHH! Luckily Bobby and his mom helped out, so that was nice. Here's the menu and my pre-party pictures!

Everyone we invited was able to come, yay! Of course we don't know THAT many people yet, but Bianca had fun having her friends over and sharing her toys with them!

After the party we went out to eat and then just hung out at home for the night.

We took his mom back to Lawton on Sunday. Monday was her actual birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SWEET GIRL!!! Sadly, she wasn't feeling too well when she woke up, but we tried to give her the best day we could! She opened up our and Gram's presents in the morning!

We then got ready and took her to play at the park! She loves the park. She had a great time, besides feeling a little bit lethargic.

We made sure to give her a good nap and when she woke up took her out to eat at Chipotle, since she loves the rice there! Then we went home and ate more yummy Minnie Mouse cake!
