February Fun!

This month has been a great month of "firsts" and "fun". It may be all snowy and crappy outside, but we still managed to have a lot of good times! Alrighty, here we go...

"DONE"

Bianca says her first word now (well she started like when she was 2 months but we never posted about it, oops!). Since we brought her home, we put her in her changing table and she takes her time going to the bathroom. Bobby always asks "ARE YOU DONNEEE?" and now she responds...with "DONE." Listen for yourselves...

And she totally knows what it means because she says this for EVERYTHING now. If she's sitting up on you and she wants to move to a different position, she says "DONE." If she is done eating, it's "DONE." If she's over tummy time, "DONE." haha so cute.

Mommy's Birthday Weekend '11

This year we decided we didn't want to travel far with Bianca for my birthday. Luckily living here there are some neat places to go to that aren't too far. Bobby took us to Greek Peak just a half hour away and to make it super special, he didn't book us in a hotel room...he got us a cute little 2 (well technically 3) story townhouse for the weekend!!! How cute! I think it was especially good for Bianca's first time sleeping away from her home, since it was a house and not a dinky little hotel room. I was so surprised at how cute it was!

How she fell asleep before we left, haha!
                                                       So pretty here!
Our townhouse!

Complete with a kitchen!

Table

Living room with, yes, a FIRE PLACE!!!

Attempt at a cute family pic...

Bedroom (and our un-made bed lol)

Scary stairs up to our loft

Loft (had 2 beds in it!)

Spying on my 2 favorites from the top of the stairs

cute kitty decorations!!!

Once we finally got there (after THINKING we forgot Bianca's binkie and driving home to get it, only to realize later the first one was in the car the whole time) we hung out for a while and decided to go out to eat. Bianca's first restaurant was Ponderosa Steak House haha! It was quite tasty and she was pretty good! Yay!

That star saved us I swear!!!

After, since we had a kitchen, I got some root beer and ice cream to make us some floats because, why not?? It was so fun at nights. We'd watch tv or movies (My Cousin Vinnie lol it had a random selection of DVDS there) at night by the light of the fireplace and drink root beer floats from champagne glasses LOL! We got a crib for Bianca, but she never slept in it, silly girl.

                                          Checking out the fireplace...safely!

So the next day we ate at the cafe in the lodge and got ready to go skiing, both our first time! But first comes the sad part - Bianca's first time being babysat (by people other than family). She was sleeping when we left her...but I wished them all good luck because I knew it wasn't going to be good times...

So we went and rented our skis and MAN are ski boots heavy. So then we were like crap, we should have bought snowpants (we were wearing jeans). It was a far walk to be wearing ski boots, but we did it anyways. We got us the cheapest pants they had and frantically made it to the next ski lesson just in time!

Man, skiing is so much fun! Both of us fell down, Bobby fell like 3 times, and I fell twice...while standing up. haha only I could pull that off. I was great going down but when do I fall?? Just hanging out waiting for my turn to go. The instructor decided it was time for us to ski down the magic carpet hill...except Bobby. He had to practice a few more times.  Bobby had tons of fun though. We can't wait to go skiing again!

Skiing down the hill was SOOO much fun! I loved it. I went down twice, once alone, and once with Bobby. Then I decided to check my phone...yeah. 1.5 hours after we left her we had gotten a call from the babysitters saying they couldn't get her to stop crying, poor thing (and poor babysitters). I called back an hour after the message and they said she was fine. They eventually got her to eat and then she fell asleep. We said we'd just go down the hill one more time and then come back and get her - and that we did. It was the most fun I think! Bobby couldn't stop in time in the end and went into the rubber fence thing haha! He said it was fun though!

Then we began our journey back to our little girl. It was cute actually. When we got there, they gave her to me and I put her in the car seat. With her eyes closed she started to cry but then she opened them, looked at me, and stopped crying. Someone just missed her mommy and daddy! We hung out in our place for a little bit and then went out to eat at the lodge, which was fun!

We were sad to leave the next day. But before we left, we wanted to show Bianca the snow! We put her in her cute little snowsuit and headed outside with her!

Needless to say, she was NOT impressed with the snow and was very excited to go inside haha. Overall, I'd give this weekend trip an A+!! What an awesome birthday weekend!

Valentine's Day '11

Valentine's day this year was fun! Bobby sent me flowers and candy (white chocolate covered oreos that looked like sweetheart candy, YUM!) and we got Bianca Sesame Street's 40th Anniversary DVD set.

Happy V-day, love Bianca and her tongue

At night we went out to eat at Chillis and discovered that their steaks are actually pretty amazing yumyumyum!!! And Bianca slept THE WHOLE TIME!!! It was as if Bobby and I were on our own little date, which was nice!

Mommy's 26th Birthday!

I had such a wonderful birthday! Bobby got me some pearl earrings and "Bianca got me" the Hanson 5 of 5 concert DVD set I wanted and totally did not expect! Hooray! While Bobby was in class, Bianca and I had fun hanging out, watching/listening to the dvds and playing and attempting to make my birthday cake (devils food cake with a chocolate raspberry glaze with blue raspberry sprinkles on it, YUM!). When Bobby got home we got ready and went to eat at this nice Italian place. Bianca was pretty good, she was "done" a lot, but overall was good. It was such a nice birthday! Then we let our tummies rest a bit and then ate cake!

Watching 5 Of 5 DVDS with Mommy!!

First Walk!

Randomly on Friday it was 55-60 degrees outside so after my jazzercise class, I got Bianca ready and took her on a little walk! We walked up to get the mail and then walked up to Rite-Aid and P&C and back. It was a lot of fun!!!

Too fabulous

Bianca loved the walk...

...and so did her tongue

Random note: the day after this beautiful day, it snowed a lot. Crazy weather...

Bianca's Baby Blessing!

This Sunday we had Bianca blessed at church! Man was she a good girl! Here's Bobby's take on it:

"It was great being able to give our daughter a blessing. I was pretty nervous about it, but it seemed to have went well. I was probably most nervous that Bianca would start screaming during the middle of it, then I wouldn't know what to do. She was actually very calm and happy during the whole thing. When it was over, I opened my eyes, and she was staring at me smiling. Special thanks to Jeremy Bentley, Grady Brimley, and Todd Bruin for helping out!"

All in all, we had a wonderful, fun, family filled February filled with fantastic firsts!
