We headed out today after Bobby got home from work and Bianca from preschool. This is what the kids and I were up to before we left.
This trip was going to be a new experience for us- Bianca was going to wear UNDERWEAR the whole car ride! *gulp* It went rather well though! We stopped at at Mickey D's to let her go, and then she was good until we got a bit into SC, where we stopped at some general store. She had figured out in that short time that we will stop the car and get out every time she said she had to pee. We stopped after this request because she obviously was just getting bored in the backseat. We crossed the bridge in Charleston and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!

Today was to be our busy day! We woke up and ate our free buffet breakfast. It was upstairs and had awesome views! I love this hotel!
Our first adventure of the day led us back to the bridge. There's a part of it where you can walk up it! It was a little bit hot out, but we said what the heck and did it anyways! I forgot the camera in the car, so Cam and I went back to get it, so we trailed behind Bobby and Bianca, but we all made it and it was awesome! It'd be fun to walk/run it regularly if we lived there.
My "View From A Bridge" haha
Next, we stopped at a park and played on a playground. It was a really nice park. Bianca had fun playing on the playground while Cam and I enjoyed some time in the shade. He loved playing with the grass with his toes, silly boy!
After the park, we drove around and decided to visit this huge tree called the Angel Tree. The kids were alseep, so we just drove around until we got there. That was really pretty too! We woke Bianca up and checked out the tree. We took some pics around it and got a magnet at the gift shop.
We were STARVING by this point, so we went to this pizza place that I found online. It was amazing! We got a margarita deep dish pizza. It was huge, but we ate it! YUM! Then we headed back to the hotel to get our bathing suits on!
We drove to the beach and found parking, which was pretty hard to find. I love SC beaches, man! They have the soft white sand and are picture perfect. Not too wavy so the kids could go into the ocean pretty far without it being too deep. Can we just stay here???
We stopped at a yummy ice cream place that made homemade ice cream on the way back to the hotel. Even Bianca got to have a little bit of strawberry ice cream, lucky girl. We were just hanging out at the hotel when what do we hear, but this huge BANG BANG! It scared us, so we looked out the window and what did we see? FIREWORKS!!! Just for my baby's birthday ;) What a nice surprise!

Our last day here, boo! We got up early, ate, and got ready for church...but it must have been stake conference weekend or something because no on was there. Boo!!!
Since we were up, dressed, and in the area anyway, we went to this neat pier/park in Mt. Pleasant (where church was) and just walked around and explored. We saw a bunch of people fishing and one guy even showed Bianca one of his fish, which scared her once she saw it. Wish I got that reaction on video ;)
We went back to the hotel at this time to change out of church clothes and headed off to explore downtown. We went to the children's museum first. Well, you know the drill, here's our children's museum pictures.
We had a coupon for an Italian place nearby, so we walked over to it. Unfortunately, it was fancier inside than we thought, but we still ate there anyways. The kids weren't that bad though, and the food was yummy! Score! We walked around downtown in the market place there. It was SO cool! One of the best downtowns we've been to. This is why Charleston is our dream city. We WILL live there someday, hopefully not too far on down the line. Our last stop was to get cupcakes at this awesome place. They were really good. Seriously, can we just move here now??? Our drive home was fine, and overall it was an awesome birthday weekend for my awesome birthday boy. WE LOVE YOU, DADDY!!!
