4th Of July FuN!

On July 3rd, we went to see some fireworks after Bobby got done with teaching. In fact, they canceled their class for that day randomly!!! So I got to have some one on one time with him during naptime, and it was fabulous!!! Later that night, we decided to go to the fireworks in OKC! We went to the yummy Mexican restaurant we went to when we lived here first, and then made our way to the fireworks. We were meeting up with the girls in his group thing there. The fireworks were fun. Bianca liked all of the attention the girls were giving her and Cameron enjoyed climbing on the table and studying the fireworks.

So, I failed to mention that this week the most disgusting thing in my life happened. We had blueberry pancakes for dinner, yum! So I had the vent going above the stove, like I've used before. WELL after we were all done eating...brace yourselves....I don't think I can even write it...eww...well...A FREAKING COCKROACH CLIMBED OUT OF THE FREAKING VENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was the one cleaning up in the kitchen at the time while Bobby was cleaning Cameron up after dinner. YEAH! A COCKROACH! I was hysterical like to the point of crying. Since Bobby was already with the kids, the most logical and fastest approach (no pun intended) to killing this thing was ME TO KILL THE THING. HYSTERICAL, ALMOST IN A PANIC ATTACK MODE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the spider vase, said a prayer, AND SQUASHED THE HECK OUT OF THE THING! It was scary because it could have just crawled back up into the vent or fallen behind the oven. But I got it!!! Screamed the whole time, but I did. That was the night we decided to spray the crap out of the place while we went to Jenks for the long 4th of July weekend. Oh, and we're pretty much throwing away all of our appliances we've been leaving out. Who knows what has crawled into it. WHY ARE THESE APARTMENTS SO NASTY WHEN THEY LOOK SO NICE FROM THE OUTSIDE?!?!?! It was traumatic.

Anyways, on the 4th we got up and packed up the car. I took the kids outside to walk around and play while Bobby sprayed the crap out of the apartment. We cranked up the AC (which hardly worked BTW), and left for Jenks!

                                                 Why purple, Bianca??? LOL

We grabbed some Chinese food for lunch (which was just OK), and then had some nap time. After nap time we all got up and got ready to go to the Aquarium. We thought that sounded like something fun to do, we wanted to go there anyways!

Check out our cute nails, we had matching 4th of July nails (toes were red with the sparkles and hands were just sparkly)

The aquarium was pretty crowded, but we got a parking spot on the grass and went in. It was neat, we took our time looking at everything (we had to, there were tons of people in there lol). The kids had fun too. Cam ate his shoe haha, he didn't have too much fun until he was able to get out of the stroller though.

We loved the shark tunnel! Cam's favorite part of the aquarium (on the inside anyways)

Then we decided to venture outside to grab a spot to see the fireworks! Their outside area is pretty cool. They have an "outdoor beach" haha. The kids loved it, I laughed at their "beach" bahahaha. Made me miss Wilmington. They had music playing, so we kicked off the kids' shoes and let 'em loose! Cameron was even singing the songs, which he had never heard before, haha!! They played "Puttin' On The Ritz" and Cameron would just shout of (at the right time) RIIITTTZZZZZ! Love our little musical boy! And Bianca had fun too and made some friends!

We found a place to sit once it got dark and someone apparently recognized us from church! So we got to make some friends too, haha. She's pregnant too, due close to me, how fun! They're the Royers, Miranda and Justin. They have a little girl, who Bianca played with. She gave Bianca some glow sticks and she was in heaven. She now asks when she can play with the "glow stick girl" haha. So that was really neat! The fireworks were cool too, you could kinda see two shows, a Tulsa one in the background and the Jenks one overhead. It went along to music so it was pretty cool!

When we got home, we still had sparklers to light up! And poppers to pop! So we all went outside to do this. One of us had to hold Cam while the other did the lighting, because Cam likes to run away from us lol. Silly boy. But it was fun. Bianca did NOT want to hold the sparkler, but Bobby made her, haha. What a great family day we had today! Best since institute started!

The weekend was fun, as usual Bobby went to McD's to work on stuff, but we had him at home mostly!! On Saturday we went to the splash pad right near us. Cameron LOVED it! He just walked right into the water and got so excited about it. Bianca...well she was excited to go before we went, but when we got there it was a different story. She mostly just hid from the water and got a little wet, silly cautious girl.

And a happy birthday to Gram! On Sunday we just went to church and back to OKC. Blah. 2 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                                   View from our kitchen window!

On Sunday when we were back, Bobby had Bianca memorize some lines for a Team Umizoomi style lesson he was giving. Her cat Figaro was missing and she needed THEIR help to him him. She was GOOD! She can memorize so well! And act out the emotions! It was so cute! Here's the final cuts:

The outtakes were good too!
