All Aboard The Polar Express!

Since this is the last year Micah would be free, we decided we'd buy tickets to go on the Polar Express that came to this area! We were SOOO excited! I think Bianca was most excited to wear her PJs out in public, haha.

Earlier in the day, however, we noticed Micah was really wheezing when he was breathing and had a slight fever. OH NO!!! We took him right in to the urgent care, where they gave him his first lollipop, which he LOVED! It wasn't anything serious yet they said, but they sent us home with a little breathing machine with some medicine to put in it to help him to breathe better. Of course this happens a few days before we're leaving for Rio and when the kids are going down to Grandma and Grandpa's house. But he takes the breathing machine like a champ and was already starting to feel better, so yay!

We left for Bristow really excited for our train ride. We made good time and were able to walk around a little bit. I got the tickets while Bobby took Cam and Bianca outside to see the train, and look what I found:

This HAD to be a coincidence, because I never put down his name anywhere, but an Erika with a K and Bobby together?!?!?! I thought that was so cool!

Then we went outside and waited for the conductor to let us all aboard!

We got on and found our seats! Cam wasn't too into sitting, but really liked looking out the window. He was better once we started moving and we let him have his cookie. Once everyone was on we took off! They gave us each a cookie and hot chocolate, which the kids didn't drink, obviously. Then they walked up and down the isles reading the Polar Express book! So cute!

Excited for her ticket

best part of the day for him

It was hard to get a good pic of it, but here they are showing the book to everyone while the story was being read over the speakers

Micah didn't care, haha

I enjoyed my cocoa at least

Stopping at the North Pole!

Then the train stopped at the "North Pole" and the conductor stamped all of our tickets, like they did in the movie. It was cute, he stamped a different word on each of the kids' tickets! Bianca really liked that part.

Then Santa came on board and gave each kid a bell! Then he went back and took the time to say hi to each family, which was fun for the kids. We got our semi-decent Santa pic I was hoping for finally! Probably because Micah was sitting on our laps and didn't really notice Santa, but he also didn't cry when he came over to us, so that's a step in the right direction.

YAAAASSS!!

Then the "chefs" came out and danced in the isles with kids. One of them took Micah to dance and at first he really liked it! Once he realized that we weren't the ones holding him, he got sad. I tried to get a pic of him happily dancing, but I got this instead:

Well, I tried! Bianca wanted to dance though and she LOVED the attention!

Overall, it was fun, but totally not worth the money. I'm glad we went now when Micah was still free. I was a little bit disappointed, but the kids had fun, so that's what mattered, Afterwards, we went to Taco Mayo for dinner and then went home. It was a nice night out though!
