ROAD TRIP 2015 PART 1: OMAHA, NE

June 12th

We woke up at 5 (ew) to get an early start to our day. Surprisingly, with all of our running around, we left the house a little before 730. Do not ask how we did that LOL! We hit Kansas first!

sleepy kids, lol!

daddy in KS

mommy in KS!

We drove until 11ish and got Chipotle. We ate that at record speed and were actually outta there by 11:30 (again, don't ask how we did this). We got to our first stop, the Omaha Zoo a little before 230, what good timing! It was such an awesome zoo, we all had tons of fun!

at least he looked happy about this LOL

THESE LEMURS WERE CRAZY!! They all started screeching when we went in there, it was kinda scary!!!

Cam loved touching the water.

There was also a huge family restroom that we all fit super comfortably in. YES!
We ate at Paradise Bakery, which was kinda like Panera, but it was SO SO SO good! We even got free cookies with our meal, score! Then we went to the hotel and planned out our next day.

these lights just make sense! I wish every big city had these

Cameron had to sleep with us at this hotel, since all they had was one king bed and a roll out bed for Bianca. He slept just fine with us though, so yay! One night down, haha! Our first stop this morning was the Temple and Winter Quarters. It was Micah's first time seeing a temple, yay! We took pics outside.

bye, Omaha!

we got one good one LOL!! Some nice older couple took it for us after they saw us trying to do one ourselves, haha!

Then we went into the Winter Quarters's visitor's center. There was a nice British Missionary that showed us around. Reminded me a bit of our beloved Sister Baxter back in the day. ;)

the pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked

Then we looked for a place to eat and walked into a place called Lo Sole Mio, but saw that it was actually super fancy, and walked out LOL! Sorry, people. We ended up driving downtown near the Children's Museum, and ate at a Mexican place called Julio's, and it was just OK. I REALLY wanted some Omaha Steak though. :( I just ordered steak fajitas and counted that.

each letter was a different color, LOL!

After we ate, we went to the children's museum. It was pretty cool actually! There was lots to do. Cam liked the water table. He was CRAZY for it! Our little fish. <3 He also liked climbing through the tunnels. There was a princess program there where Princess Lily had a make a wish show, so I took her to that. They also had a princess sing a long that all of us went to. They had bubbles and everything for that. It was so cool! I give this museum an A for sure!

cute room for breastfeeding mommies! LOVE IT!

Then we ate ice cream at Ted and Wally's. We got root beer and oatmeal cookie flavored ice creams. Very tasty! Then we walked around the Old Market area, which is pretty cool, and went back to our hotel to pack up for our next day's adventures!
