ROAD TRIP 2015 PART 5: REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN

June 20th

We took our time getting ready this morning and headed out when we were done.

loves his monster bus haha

We ate lunch in a food court (that had fresh fruit/smoothies/healthy food, which was SO welcomed at this point in the trip, esp the watermelon we gobbled up) in the mall and then set out for a long drive. And a long, boring drive it was. The only interesting things we saw were these flashing light signs pointing out that it was an IMPORTANT INTERSECTION, hahaha! We stopped half way through to pee and feed Micah and decided to grab some root beer floats at A&W, yum!

Cameron road :)

Naturally.

We got to the hotel after the long drive and looked up food to eat. We ate at the Colluseum, since it was close and open. But it was not good at all! We had an awful waitress and we were the only ones there. Correction, the only ones there eating. They had slot machines up front and had a bunch of older people playing them up there. But it was so weird that nothing was open on a SATURDAY NIGHT when it should have been booming. I guess everyone knew how much this place sucked lol. Even the mall it was in was closed. SO WEIRD! But when we got back to the hotel (which was a Doubletree, but huge, we had separate sleeping places for us and the kids...love when that happens!) and saw that Bobby was the guest of the day, yay! We just got some sparkling lemonade and candy, but it was nice!

cool hotel though

cuuuttee!

June 21st

Happy father's day, Daddy!!!!!!!!!! We woke up and gave daddy his presents.

Then we got ready for church at 11 at the Sunrise ward (isn't that a pretty name?). It was an older and smaller one, so of course we were the loudest ones there, hahahahaha! People are always disappointed when they find out we're just visiting, they thought they'd finally have some fresh meat, lol. We went back to the hotel to change and take pics.

Then we went to a cool park...which was so hard to spot, but we eventually found it. I let Bobby, Bianca, and Cam out and I drove around with Micah to try and find a parking spot (there was one TINY lot, and of course all the spots were taken, so I kept looping around until I found a spot). Micah was awake by then, so we got out and joined them in playing on the cool playground. Cam loved the goose slide and Micah had fun with Mommy swinging.

Then it started to rain, so we hit the road. We drove around some and ate some tacos at Tacos Del Mar, which was pretty good for fast food Mexican. We drove to the temple to take a pic!

Then we went to the Science Museum, which was actually one of the most fun places on our journey thus far. We had a blast exploring and playing. We were even the last 2 people to be able to go on this orb thing that you can spin yourself around in like crazy. It was so much fun! Harder than it looks though because you actually have to do the work to get it to go, which I didn't realize, haha. Then we saw an IMAX movie, "Journey To The Sea," which was about the south pacific coral reefs. The kids were good actually...well only because I bought some popcorn to keep them quiet, hahaha!

This looked a lot cooler in real life, but still super cool. Bianca loved dancing in all the lights :)

Then we ate ice cream at Milky Way, this little outdoor shack, but oh my goodness, it was SO GOOD!!! I got Bobby watermellon ice cream dippped in bubble gum flavor and I got vanilla and strawberry twist dipped in peanut butter, and Bianca just got the vanilla strawberry twist. Sorry boys, none for you yet. SO GOOD! Then we just had a relaxing night at the hotel.

June 22nd

We just packed up in the morning and drove to the Mountie Museum.

goobers <3

She is just so pretty!!!!!!

The museum was cool to look at.Here's our pics. We even got to try on some Mountie jackets, haha!

camouflage

Then we all hopped in little carts and they drove us to the Mountie Parade. Apparently it was a special one because it was also a graduation ceremony, yay! Cameron got bored and loud sitting there, so I let him run around while I followed him around. He was pleased with that. There was a lady who worked there who was very nice to him. She told me the Prime Minister's kid came once and made more noise than him, so don't worry about him. She even let us walk into a building so I could wash his hands off and get him a drink from the bubbler.

she marched along, so cute! <3

After the ceremony, it apparently turned into a tour (we did not know about that) and we went into a Cathedral, which was super pretty, but the kids were very bored at that point.

When they were done talking they drove us back to the museum and we set off for the USA! We just ate at a Subway on the way there (AND CANADA APPRENTLY HAS FIVE ALIVE JUICE!!! THAT STUFF IS THE BEST!!).

We were back in the states by 7pm (with no problems from the US boarder btw, thanks, Canada lady). We ate at 9pm at a KFC in Minot because there is NOTHING in this part of North Dakota. It was still SO bright out at 9pm though! It was sooooo weird!! But they did have beauitful sunsets out there. We kept on driving and got to our hotel at 11pm, yuck!
